JUNIOR SOUS CHEF on board luxury river cruise ship
Your responsibilities
- Providing professional and courteous service on designated workstations
- Relieving the Sous Chef during any period of absence
- Retaining full knowledge of food menu and Company recipes
- Assisting the Executive Chef and Sous Chef with training sessions for the Galley team
- Ensuring the distribution of daily recipes
- Assisting with monthly inventories, purchase orders and responsible for delivery control
- Ensuring correct food item rotation (FIFO), storing, labeling, and temperature control at all workstations
Your education / Your experience
- Min. 2-years’ experience as a Jr. Sous Chef
- Experience in 4* or 5* operations (Hotel and/or cruise ships)
- Highly proficient in spoken and written English
- Knowledge of HACCP
- Experience with ordering and inventory
- Strong Leadership Skills
- Awareness of waste management and recycling
