JUNIOR SOUS CHEF on board luxury river cruise ship

Your responsibilities

  • Providing professional and courteous service on designated workstations
  • Relieving the Sous Chef during any period of absence
  • Retaining full knowledge of food menu and Company recipes
  • Assisting the Executive Chef and Sous Chef with training sessions for the Galley team
  • Ensuring the distribution of daily recipes
  • Assisting with monthly inventories, purchase orders and responsible for delivery control
  • Ensuring correct food item rotation (FIFO), storing, labeling, and temperature control at all workstations

Your education / Your experience

  • Min. 2-years’ experience as a Jr. Sous Chef
  • Experience in 4* or 5* operations (Hotel and/or cruise ships)
  • Highly proficient in spoken and written English
  • Knowledge of HACCP
  • Experience with ordering and inventory
  • Strong Leadership Skills
  • Awareness of waste management and recycling
